Michael Morgan was awarded the R.I. Medal by the Council of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour in 1998 and has a wonderful appreciation of the medium. His works carry elements of abstract but still convey a visible structure of his chosen subject. He has an innovative and distinctive style, frequently depicting an isolated cottage usually set in a moorland scenery.
Michael is also a Founding Academician of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts. He also holds RI Roland Hilder Landscape Prize. Michael's work has been illustrated or featured in many publications. He published "Michael Morgan RI" in 2004 which sold out within 10 months.
